Hopeless, Incompetent, Laughable, Finally The Truth About "Terror"

A TV talking head has finally characterized last weeks non-events in Britain for what they were, in the face of a blitz of frenzied hype, hysterics and fearmongering from the government and media, former Scotland Yard detective John OConnor described the botched attacks as "hopeless," "incompetent" "almost laughable," and amounting to nothing more

My husband suggested something that obviously this detective didn't pick up on when he made the above statement; he said,' What if this is to distract us from their (terrorists)real intentions?' I wonder if the detective considered that it could have been meant to distract us from their real objective. Also, the cells were from terrorists working for the NHS.

I am not saying for us to point a finger at Muslims in the NHS, as all being terrorists. I have a Muslim GP, whom I like very much and highly regard. What I am saying is if these people are infiltrating our health service; as my husband pointed out to me, what is to stop them from bringing in a biological weapon and introducing it into the hospital or through the water supply via the hospital?

I am not trying to panic anybody, but let us look at what we have here. We have people (regardless of race,religion or nationality) working in our hospitals, police and no doubt other sensitive areas, who may be connected to a terrorist cell. I came across information either on the news or via the internet that three of the suspects were not properly authorized and were under investigation.

I understand that we shouldn't segregate Muslims, but anybody;as radicals can come in many shapes,colour, sizes,and of various religious backgrounds,who works in sensitive areas such as power plants, water plants, gas terminals, hospitals, police-their background should be carefully checked and properly investigated before they are allowed to work in these services.

I truly feel for the Islamic nation during this time, as these radicals are making their life difficult and often times unbearable. I am very happy with my doctor and look forward to speaking to him about my concerns. He takes a lot of interest in me as a patient and treats me like a person. He is registered with the General Medical Council, along with the other doctors at my practice. He is a very competent doctor and I would hate to see his patients turn away from him, because of these radicals. In other words, I would like to see security tightened in these areas of our government to not only protect us, but doctors like my Muslim doctor, who have proven themselves time and time again to not be biased and are equal to all. His humanity is always refreshing when I see him, and he is so pleasant to speak to.

I don't fear him, or any other Muslim. I just want to see that these radicals who are tarring all Muslims are not allowed into potential environments where they have access to sensitive information and facilities, and to protect the decent Muslims, who live in our country.

On a final note, did the detective consider that his words may even be considered a challenge by these radicals? You don't challenge a Tiger to a fight, in case you might lose,unless of course you have the advantage. From where I am sitting the terrorists have the advantage, as we don't know where, or when they plan to strike next,or even where the next cell will crop up.

Personally, I would like to see the end to all terrorism, wars, and other forms of hatred and violence. Realistically, I know it isn't going to happen in my lifetime, and am confronted with the mindsets of people.

I try and walk in other people's shoes, in my mind, to understand what motivates them to behave the way they do. Sometimes I can empathize with their cause, but don't condone their actions.
