"This fellow in the crowd with a knife in his hand attempted to stab the president in his stomach," a government spokesman said. But a 15-year-old boy came in the way and grabbed the knife. One brave boy saved the president's life."
I came across this article on MSN , and thought that the young lad showed strong courage when he saw the man with the knife. It makes you wonder, if let's say we were to see somebody being threatened-'Would we intervene, like the boy did', or just stand by and ignore it. I would hope that the majority would try and live by the boy's example.
I put the quote from the article as the title, as it makes a very good point. Our differences regardless of who we are, or where we may be doesn't need to be resolved with violence.
We should appreciate each other's differences and strive to work together for the whole of humanity.

What is this world coming to when even the dead can't rest in peace?
The entry below was posted on another forum. I had been doing a search on headstones and their meanings of those inscribed in Latin. My search engine brought up a link, which I followed to this conversation. This is only a brief excerpt of what I discovered.
What took me back was the attitude of the respondent clearly stating that he had no morals in desecrating somebody's resting place. What was even more astonishing is that he wasn't the only one that felt that way.
My husband is my full-time carer, and his past time is recording and preserving the headstones of those who have gone before us. The number of headstones that he has come across that have been damaged through wanton vandelism is disgusting.
Those who have died before us have left us a legacy and a map. My husband and I like going to the heritage centre and seeing how much of the people's lives we can find on microfilm, and it helps us get to know what they were like as people, and how they contributed to society.
Some so-called mundane graves tend to hold a wealth of information in the historical centre. When I leave this body, I would like to know that my headstone would be a marker in helping somebody research my history and life to understand and learn from it.
Some of the deceased, bless them, may not have been able to make a contribution in life, as they can in death, by us taking stock of the heritage that they left behind by giving us a glimpse into their world and into their lives.
Besides, they were once amongst the living and sometimes when you look at the depth of their pain and suffering and reflect on yours-you get a clearer perspective. I find no matter what the generation it is always tragic to see a headstone of a child dying at such a young age. It doesn't matter if they died before the 20th century or after, or anywhere in between. It is tragic, when their graves are destroyed and damaged by reckless vandels.
Please excuse the profanity of the conversation below, but I felt that these two individuals proved a point. Although the first individual is brusk in their language, you can clearly see how they feel by such unscrupulous acts against the dead

ComOptions Web Site Development Minot, North Dakota: "1987 The North Dakota Agriculture Department fell victim to botched Central American potato sales and higher oil and cattle prices started to boost the state's economy. Lieutenant Governor Ruth Meiers died after a six-month battle with cancer and was replaced by Lloyd Omdahl. Fire at an agricultural chemical warehouse in Minot forced 10,000 people to leave their homes until the toxic fumes dissipated. United Mine Workers went on strike at Indian Head Mine near Zap and Virgil Hill of Williston won the World Boxing Association light-heavyweight boxing title."
Here is some more information relating to the chemical warehouse fire of 1987. Those of us who were at the truck stop opposite the warehouse, I would really like to hear from you.

I am looking for other people, who were exposed to the fumes of this fire. I am suffering from neurological and other conditions, which I believe are from the exposure to the chemicals.
I would like to hear from anybody who was in, or near the truck stop opposite the warehouse. I would like to know if you have suffered any effects from the fire.
I am undergoing medical treatment, as my health has been hit in many ways. If anybody else has had health problems related to this fire; please contact me. Leave me a comment, so I can inform my doctors.
I live in the UK and am a British national (naturalized at birth). I was married to an American serviceman stationed at Minot, North Dakota. We divorced in 1989.
My doctors here in the UK have the list of chemicals, but it would help to know if anybody else suffered any ill effects from that day, especially those who were in the truck stop.
thank you.

Part 1 Mysterious Mars
I told my husband long before any probes landed on Mars that it does have water under the surface, and sustained intelligent lifeforms which have gone underground. Much evidence has come forward since I told my husband this back in 1999.

India to annouce UFO's are REAL
Why can't all governments admit what we all know to be true.
clipped from www.ancientx.com New Delhi is in the middle of a big secret internal debate. On one side the largest democracy of the world is eager to explain to its citizens and to the world about the ongoing contacts with the UFOs and extra-terrestrials. On the other hand there are invisible untold international protocols that prohibit doing anything that may cause worldwide fear and panic. It is well accepted between the UFO and extra-terrestrial experts that all the five nuclear powers are in contact with the beings from other stars for quite some time. Recently India has seen enormous news on UFO contacts and secret UFO bases in Himalayas near the Chinese bases. In Ladak, for example the locals clearly point out the everyday phenomenon of large triangular spacecrafts coming out below the ground and Indian security forces protecting them.

"Footprints in the Sand"
This has always been one of my favourite poems and when I went through a bad spell of homelessness, these words were resounded in my ears and heart. They kept me strong; especially, when I lost my Bible. These words sum up the true love of our Lord and no matter where you are, if you think upon these, in your troubled times, you will find you will be carried.
clipped from www.butgodsaid.net One night a man had a dream. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from his life. He noticed that many times along the path of his life "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, The Lord replied "My precious, precious child, |
